We joke in Texas that we don’t have real seasons. It’s either extremely hot or extremely cold.
If you remember over the Thanksgiving holiday we had unseasonably warm temperatures in the 60’s and 70’s.
But I was still shocked when a wasp flew into my house the Sunday after Thanksgiving. It was a “Twilight Zone” moment as I was thinking “it’s not the middle of summer,” “I just ate a lot of turkey and dressing,” “THAT’S A WASP!!!”
Once the shock wore off I did what anyone would do and grabbed the closest thing that might stop it in it’s tracks….hairspray!!!!
Needless to say that didn’t work, but thankfully I had bug spray and was able to kill it with no problem.
We’re just a couple a weeks away from Christmas, and the beginning of winter, and highs are in the 60’s. So enjoy what we call fall in Texas and get ready for a comfortable winter, but also keep your snow boots close ’cause you never know what our crazy weather will do.
