DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings wants to crack down on stray dogs in his city.
The move comes after a 52-year-old woman was attacked by a pack of dogs on Rutledge Street near Opportunity Park.
She was bitten more than 100 times. She is in the hospital, but may not survive.
Dallas Animal Services has stepped up patrols in the area and has captured six dogs.
Additional traps have been set out.
Mayor Rawlings has asked city staff members to come up with a plan to try and correct the problem.
