FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – A parade through downtown Fort Worth on Saturday will honor police officers.
“I want law enforcement to know we care,” said Jason Baldwin, an organizer with “Main Street Backs the Blue.” “This is a way to get the best officers in the country. If officers know Fort Worth cares, that’s where they are going to want to work.”
The parade will run down Main Street to a stage in front of the Fort Worth Convention Center.
The event coincides with National Police Week.
Several state lawmakers and the Tarrant County District Attorney will speak at the event.
