DALLAS (AP) – Dallas police say a woman was struck by a stray bullet while driving and witnesses told officers the gunfire came from a pickup that fled.
Police say that after being shot Wednesday, the woman was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Yasmin Bhatia, the chief executive of Uplift Peak Preparatory, says the woman was leaving the school’s senior picnic at a park when she was wounded.
No students were injured and the group evacuated the park.
