(DeSoto – WBAP/KLIF News) DeSoto Police detectives say it’ll be a while before they know much about a shooting early Wednesday that left a woman dead. A panic alarm sent police to the house on Longmeadow Lane, and Robert Dixon, Jr. answered the door.
“While still at the front door, they heard a male voice yelling for help from inside the residence,” said Sergeant Nick Bristow of the DeSoto PD. “Officers found Robert Dixon (Sr.), and his wife, Parrish Dixon, both of them had been shot.”
Parrish Dixon was the step mother; she was pronounced dead at the scene. Robert Sr. was taken to Central Methodist Hospital…his condition isn’t known. Robert Jr. was arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault.
SGT Bristow says Robert Jr. was here visiting from Illinois, and that’s slowing the investigation.
