AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF News) – As many as 240,000 women in Texas have tried self-induced abortions due to strict laws in the state, according to a recent study.
The University of Texas Policy Evaluation Project found that the state has seen a big increase in a black market drug used to terminate pregnancy, which mimics a miscarriage.
The study also said abortions in Texas have jumped dramatically since lawmakers approved stiffer regulations for the procedure in 2013.
