FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Frisco School District has approved a tax of $0.13 for every $100 of assessed valuation.
If approved by voters, the average bill would increase by a little more than $400.
The tax would generate about $30 million which would be used to raise teachers’ salaries to a more competitive level and reduce class size.
Some people at Tuesday night’s meeting were concerned the tax increase and higher property appraisals will cause a big jump in taxes.
The increase will go before voters on Aug. 27.
