MCKINNEY (WBAP/KLIF News) – A detention officer in Collin County has filed a lawsuit claiming he’s being discriminated against because he’s gay.
Derek Boyd, 23, has only been on the job since January and claims during that time he has been the subject of ridicule and retaliation by several coworkers.
The 25-page suit names Collin County and the sheriff’s department as defendants.
It accuses his employer of discrimination based on his sexual orientation.
