Phoenix, AZ (WBAP/KLIF) – Boxing legend Muhammad Ali has died at age 74. He died in a Phoenix area hospital after a lengthy battle against the Parkinson’s Disease that he was diagnosed with in 1984. Ali fought one of the most memorable bouts in the history of boxing, the so called “Thrilla in Manila against Joe Frazier in October, 1975.
Ali said in 1984, “What I suffered physically was worth what I’ve accomplished in life. A man who is not courageous enough to take risks will never accomplish anything.”
A funeral will be held Wednesday in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.
