MIDLOTHIAN (WBAP/KLIF News) – Police in Midlothian have gotten the results of blood tests on a shirt Missy Bevers’ father-in-law brought to the dry cleaner after her murder.
Detectives took the shirt to UNT Health Science Center for DNA testing.
The results showed the blood was not human.
Her husband said the blood came from the family dog after it got into a fight with another dog.
Police said they hope the results will resolve some questions, and the investigation into Bevers’ murder continues.
Her body was found inside a church in April. Bevers, a fitness instructor, was scheduled to teach a class that morning, according to police.
