ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office has declined to refile charges against an Arlington police officer who fatally shot a college football player.
A grand jury declined to take action against former Officer Brad Miller.
An attorney for Christian Taylor’s family sent a letter to DA Sharen Wilson Friday urging her to take another look at the case.
Wilson responded Monday saying Taylor was acting “erratically and in a manner dangerous to himself and officers on scene.”
Miller, a rookie officer, shot Taylor during a break-in at a car dealership in August 2015.
Taylor was not armed at the time.
Miller was fired shortly after the shooting.
