FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – The City of Fort Worth plans to remove an alligator from Lake Worth because they say it has become a nuisance.
Many gators live in the north side of the lake, but heavy rains and flooding have moved them out of their usual habitat.
The city had to get clearance from the state before they could remove the 12-foot animal, because alligators are a protected species in Texas.
Officials plan to relocate the gator by next week.
