PLANO (WBAP/KLIF News) – The family of a teen who was shot by a deputy in Celina said they’ve not received any information about their son in more than 10 days.
Jesus Vargas was shot after he allegedly attacked a police K9 with a large knife. Police said Vargas was acting erratically. The K9 is expected to be okay.
Vargas’ family rallied in front of the Plano Medical Center where he is being treated. They said they plan to ask the Department of Justice to launch an internal investigation.
