FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – A man hiding from what he believed was a drug cartel fell through the ceiling of a Smoothie King in Fort Worth.
John Case barged into the shop on Sage Meadow Trail Saturday night, just as employees were wrapping up their shifts.
Case locked the door and told them to call police. He then went into the back office and climbed into the ceiling, according to employees. Police said Case became more agitated after officers arrived.
After two hours of negotiations, Case fell through the ceiling and was arrested.
The owner of the shop said police discussed sending him for a mental evaluation.
