DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) Tony Romo could be sitting out for more than two months of games after his most recent back injury. Dr. John Michels is now a spine and pain doctor in Dallas. But years ago, he played in the NFL and won a Super Bowl championship while with the Green Bay Packers. Dr. Michels says as long as the injury doesn’t get worse, Romo will be playing in a few weeks. He says, however, if the break worsens or he gets re-injured, he could suffer permanent nerve damage and may require surgery.
