TROPHY CLUB (WBAP/KLIF News) – Some students at Byron Nelson High School are facing backlash after they posed for a photo with a board covered in the Confederate Flag.
The photo of the students and the “Cornhole” board was shared on social media. The district said it began receiving complaints almost immediately.
A student brought the game to Senior Sunrise, which is an event that happens every year before school hours.
Almost all of the students in the picture have apologized. It’s not clear whether they will be punished. The district said will monitor more closely what items students bring to school events.
