DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The July 7th ambush of police officers in Dallas has left local law enforcement agencies with more than $800,000 in overtime costs.
According to the Dallas Morning News, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, Irving and Arlington Police Departments pitched in to help DPD.
They answered phones, worked procession routes and performed other tasks to give Dallas officers a rest after the shooting.
Five officers were killed in the attack. Several others were wounded.
