(WBAP/KLIF) – A North Texas food pantry could get a $100,000 grant through a contest held by Reliant Energy.
Metrocrest Services is the only North Texas charity participating.
“Metrocrest Services serves the suburbs of Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Addison, Coppell and and a portion of Dallas.” said Metrocrest CEO Tracy Eubanks. “About 250,000 folks live in that geography.”
Eubanks says people can vote as often as they’d like at www.reliant.com/vote until September 16th.
If Metrocrest Services wins, all the proceeds from the grant will be used to fighting hunger in North Texas.
The two other non-profits participating are in Corpus Christi and Houston.
