HASLET (WBAP/KLIF News) — Search warrants for the home belonging to a man charged in murdering a 24-year-old, female TWU student earlier this month turned up multiple weapons and possible DNA evidence.
According to the warrants, Charles Dean Bryant had guns, ammunition, and knives in his home. Also taken by the FBI were soil samples, blood samples, potential bone fragments found in his fire pit, and a hacksaw with a possible hair on the blade.
Another warrant included a search of a Mitsubishi Highlander and a search for child pornography.
Bryant was the last person seen with Jacqueline Vandagriff earlier in September. They were seen leaving a Denton bar together on surveillance footage. Her body was found burned in a kiddie pool near Grapevine Lake on Wednesday, September 14.
He had been arrested earlier in the month and was accused of criminal trespassing and stalking his ex-girlfriend, a UNT student living in the dorms.
Bryant was arrested in connection to Vandagriff’s death on September 18.
