DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Haltom city grandmother has been indicted for the murder of her two year old grandson.
A Tarrant County grand jury indicted 43 year old patricia Flores in the fatal scalding and death of her grandson. Investigators say back in March, the child was scalded by hot bath water and received no medical attention for six days. Police say the grandson’s lack of medical attention led to an infection that eventually caused the child’s death. The child died at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas on April 4th.
Until April 14th, the grandmother was a fugitive but finally turned herself in, in Frio county. She is now free on $75,000 bond.
