(WBAP/KLIF News) He’s pushing to improve the relationship between law enforcement and the public by making local departments more transparent. Representative Mark Veasey (D-33rd District, Fort Worth) is introducing what he calls the Police Protection Act. It will make it a requirement for police officers to file reports on cases that involve injuries or deaths within 24 hours. Veasey wants officers to file a report while information is fresh on their minds and before they have a chance to be influenced by other accounts.
