Dallas (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Dallas Independent School District employee is under arrest, after being accused of having molested at least two students. Dallas Assistant Police Chief Christina Smith says they were tipped off by a caller.
“On October 3 2016, the Dallas Police was contacted about a sex assault that occurred several years ago,” said Smith. “An interview with the complainant determined the suspect to be Jorge Ruiz, a Latin male, 53 years old.”
Ruiz was a teacher at Kramer Elementary until his arrest today.
Smith wouldn’t say who the caller was, only that it isn’t a former student or faculty member. A second alleged victim has come forward, and Smith says there may be more.
Ruiz faces two felony charges, bond for each is $100,000.
