DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) More than 1,000 jobs will be opening up with AT&T in North Texas in the next few years. The company is expanding its headquarters in Dallas into a campus it plans to call “AT&T Discovery District.” The existing 4-building complex at Akard and Commerce Streets will be renovated to include entertainment, retail, restaurants and a landscaped destination space for workers and visitors. The company is also asking the city to make some changes to surrounding streets to improve traffic flow. Since moving its headquarters to Dallas in 2008, AT&T has doubled its number of employees. There is no timeline set yet for the completion of the project.
