DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) Former Dallas Police Chief David Brown is turning in his badge for a press pass. Brown will join ABC News as a contributor starting next month. He will report on gun violence, policing, social justice, race relations, and economic inequality, according to WFAA. Brown is a 33-year veteran of the department and gained national recognition following the shooting deaths of 5 officers in an ambush back in July. Brown’s first day with the network will be January 1st.
