DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A letter from the police union in Tacoma, Washington is raising concerns about Dallas’ pick for city manager.
T.C. Broadnax is expected to be voted in by council on Wednesday and, by all accounts, has its unanimous support.
During his time as the city manager in Tacoma, Broadnax was forced to make budget cuts that upset the Tacoma Police Department.
The letter, dated June 21, 2016, states “Tacoma does not have enough officers to staff the streets and not having the resources to provide proper service is disheartening.”
The Dallas Police Association said the letter is concerning given the city’s current staffing issues.
