DALLAS (AP) – A former Dallas assistant city attorney is suing the city attorney’s office alleging sexual harassment and retaliation.
Petrina Thompson filed the civil lawsuit last week in Dallas County Court seeking to be rehired and monetary damages. She says she was sexually harassed by another employee and when she filed a complaint, other employees created a hostile work environment by retaliating with discriminatory remarks about her age and aspects of her performance.
Thompson also alleges that she was transferred to a different position inside the office, but was denied training and was eventually fired.
Phone messages left with Thompson’s attorney, a city spokeswoman and with the Dallas City Attorney’s Office were not immediately returned Thursday.
According to electronic court records, the office has not responded to the lawsuit.
