Convicted child rapist found not guilty at new trial

Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – A former Fort Worth Police officer who spent 21 years in prison on a child rape conviction has been found not guilty in a new trial. Brian Franklin is now 57. He was sent to prison in 1995 after he was convicted of raping a 13 year old girl. That girl is now in her 30’s, and has admitted lying during Franklin’s trial. Franklin’s lawyer says he intends to sue for damages.
