DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) Texas doctors are now starting an intensive study to track concussions among young athletes. The University Interscholastic League is partnering with the O’Donnell Brain Institute at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Munro Cullum will be leading the study and says he hopes the research will lead to better treatments and even improvements in technology to prevent concussions. Texas is among the first to begin a voluntary concussion registry that will be used in the study. Doctors will be wanting data from both male and female patients.
