(WBAP/KLIF) – The Electric Reliability Council of Texas is asking Texans to conserve electricity. ERCOT is asking all Texas residents to conserve electricity from 6 AM to 10 AM Monday. Freezing temperatures, and a very high demand for electricity are expected during this time. Operating reserves for the Texas power gird are also expected to be low on Monday morning.
ERCOT also stated that similar conditions are expected for Tuesday morning, and that another request to conserve electricity might be made at a later time.
